What Needs To Be Prepared Before Correcting LED Display Screens

Preparation in terms of screen body

1. Clean LED display screens, especially outdoor LED advertising display screens, to remove dust and stains from the lamp surface and mask, and avoid their impact on brightness. If you need to replace the mask, please ensure that the color of the mask is the same as before, otherwise the display will be affected, especially during the day, and the correction will not improve much;

2. Replace modules with poor functionality: some light points are not lit, there are many dead lights, scanning is abnormal, the overall light points are too dark (the resistance may be incorrect), wiring or socket problems affect the display, and so on. Only when the final display, scanning, and image are normal and there are no phenomena such as excessive darkness, constant brightness, or continuous lighting can it be considered;

3. Receiving Card Upgrade: If the current receiving card does not support calibration or has insufficient load points, an upgrade is required. Due to the risk of dead card during the upgrade of the receiving card, customers need to contact the control system company in advance for upgrading and related processing.

Reminder: Brightness correction only improves the uniformity of the full screen display or improves practical problems caused by brightness by reducing the brightness of some lights. It cannot increase the brightness of the lights, change the angle of the lights, or correct other display problems caused by hardware functional issues (power supply, resistance, wiring).

Choose the right time and environment

Calibration collection needs to be carried out in an environment free of wind, rain, and fog interference. Therefore, customers need to arrange the calibration time according to the local weather environment, or take relevant measures to collect accurate data in a non-interference environment as much as possible, in order to achieve optimal calibration results.

There is something to do before point by point calibration, and even after point by point calibration, it is not easy: after point by point calibration is completed, the subsequent maintenance of the display screen faces new problems, such as replacing the receiving card, updating data after replacing the module, and adjusting the target brightness and color gamut of the display screen, and so on. These should not be forgotten!
